Adam Sandler – Birth, Parents, Siblings

Adam Sandler was born on September 9, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, U.S., as Adam Richard Sandler. His father was Stanley Sandler, Stanley Sandler and his mother’s name is Judith Sandler. 

He is not the only child of his parents and has three siblings- a brother and two sisters. His brother’s name is Scott Sandler, and his sister’s names are Elizabeth Sandler and Valerie Sandler. Sandler’s brother is an attorney, while one sister is a waitress and another one a dentist.

At the age of 6, the family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire, where he grew up to be a fine young man.

Adam Sandler was educated at Manchester Central High School. Later, he attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and graduated from the same in 1988.

His ethnicity is  Ashkenazi-Jewish.

Before Sandler tied the knot with his wife, Jacqueline Samantha Titone, he dated several women. He was in a relationship with Margaret Rudinfrom in 1992. The two were even engaged to be married, but called off their engagement in 1993.

A year later, in 1994, he was sharing boyfriend/girlfriend status with Juliette Lewis. 

And for a month in 1996, he dated Alicia Silverstone. Alicia was 10 years younger than him and did try to hide their relationship, but later could not.

Adam Sandler married actress Jacqueline Samantha Titone on June 22, 2003. They had dated for several years (from 1999) before they finally decided to tie the knot. Titone even converted to Sandler’s religion, Judaism, in 2000.

The couple has two daughters together. Their first daughter, Sadie Madison Sandler, was born on May 6, 2006. Their second daughter was born on November 2, 2008, and was named Sunny Madeline Sandler. Currently, the family resides in Los Angeles. Their relationship seems to be good without any reports of divorce.

Adam Sandler – Career

Early Days

When Sandler was a teenager, he was in a popular Jewish youth group called BBYO. In his early career, in 1987, Sandler was cast in The Cosby Show and Remote Control. His debut film Going Overboard was released in 1989, after which he was offered to perform at comedy clubs.

At one of his performances in Los Angeles in 1990, comedian Dennis Miller discovered him and hired him as a writer for Saturday Night Live. But in 1995, he and Chris Farley were fired from the show!

Although his career as a comedian was paused, he made a name for himself in the movies. He has acted in movies such as Coneheads (1993), Airheads (1994), Billy Madison (1995), and Bulletproof (1996).
