Andrea Barber was born on July 3, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, the U.S.A., as Andrea Laura Barber. Her mother’s name is Sherry Barber, and her father’s name is Donald Barber. She is not the only child of her parents and is the youngest of three siblings. She has two older brothers - Justin Barber and Darin Barber.

For education, Andrea Barber attended La Serna High School in Whittier, California, and graduated from the same. She then went on to attend Whittier College to study English. She graduated from the same school in 1999. Barber also has a Master of Arts in Women's Studies from the University of York, England.

Her ethnicity is Caucasian.

Andrea Barber was married to Jeremy Rytky. After dating for years, the two decided to upgrade their relationship to marriage in 2002.

With her husband, her first child, a son named Tate James Rytky, was born on April 30, 2004. On April 10, 2007, Barber gave birth to their second child, a daughter named Felicity Ruth Rytky. They did have a complete family, but the couple divorced after 12 years of marriage in 2014. 

Currently, she is in a romantic relationship with boyfriend Michael Hawley, a content creator and co-founder of Harber Media. Their love affair started in 2014 and has grown stronger ever since.

Early Career

Andrea Barber’s career in acting began at the tender age of 6. Her first role was as Carrie Brady in the American soap opera Days of Our Lives. She portrayed the role from 1982 to 1986.

Breakthrough role

In 1987, she landed her breakthrough role as Kimmy Gibbler in Full House. At first, she was taken up as a recurring role and later as a regular. For the next eight years, Barber portrayed the role of Gibbler until its cancellation in 1995.

After the series ended, she took a break from acting to focus on her personal life. After completing her education, she worked as an assistant to the director of Whittier College's Office of International Programs in 2000.

Return to Acting

In 2012, Andrea Barber got back to acting. She landed a role alongside her Full House co-star Dave Coulier in Funny or Die, a comedy video website. In 2016, she reprised her role as Kimmy Gibbler in the Full House spin-off series Fuller House, which she portrayed until 2020.
