Ben Crompton started his career in acting in 1996. A few years later, he landed a role in 1998’s film Les Misérables, followed by roles in 102 Dalmatians, Blow Dry, and All or Nothing. 

In TV series, he landed minor roles in The Thin Blue Line (1996), Dalziel and Pascoe (1999), All the King's Men (1999), and North Square (2000), before landing his breakthrough role in 2001’s Clocking Off. He portrayed Barney Watson for a total of 19 episodes until 2003.

Since the breakthrough role, Ben Crompton has starred in the TV series Ideal (2005-2011), Man Stroke Woman (2005-2007), Housewife, 49 (2006), Pramface (2012-2014), C.B. Strike (2017-2022), and Cobra (2023). I

In films, he has had appearances in Piccadilly Jim (2005), Nativity! (2009), Kill List (2011), Peterloo (2018), Rebecca (2020), Lore (2023), Bad Tidings (2024), among others.

In HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones, he has been portraying the role of Eddison Tollett from 2012-2017.
