Finn Cole is an actor by profession and British by nationality. He is best known for his role in Peaky Blinders as Michael Gray and in Animal Kingdom as Joshua "J" Cody.

Finn Cole’s birth took place on 9 November 1995 in Kingston, London, England. He was born Finlay Lewis Cole to his mother, Elizabeth Jacquest, and his father, Michael Cole. 

He is not the only child of his parents and has four siblings- three older brothers and a younger brother. Joe Cole, who is also an actor, is his oldest brother.

Finn Cole was raised in South West London. For education, he attended Esher College from 2011-2013. He was also a member of the U.K.'s National Youth Theatre.

His ethnicity is English.

Before Fame

Young Finn Cole wanted to work on boats like his father, but as he grew up, he became interested in acting. In his older years, with a little help from his older brother Joe Cole, he changed the course of his career.

His professional career as an actor began in 2012. His brother had helped him get an audition for his first acting job. And Finn Cole’s debut role was in the film Offender as a Riot Boy.

Breakthrough and following

In 2014, he landed the role of Michael Gray in the British TV series Peaky Blinders. He portrayed the character until 2022, and his older brother Joe Cole plays John Shelby in the series.

Since 2015, Cole has had roles in films such as Slaughterhouse Rulez (2018), Dreamland (2019), Here Are the Young Men (2020), F9: The Fast Saga (2021), Locked In (2023), and Last Breath (2025). He also has appearances in the TV series Inspector Lewis (2015) and as Joshua "J" Cody in Animal Kingdom (2016-2022).

Other work

The young actor has had some experience with producing. He produced a play titled Immortal, which was performed in 2015 at the Arthur Cotterell Theatre. Along with his fellow Esher College students, he founded a production company named GreenTea Productions.
