Early Career

Starting out as an actress, Gwendoline Christie struggled to find the perfect role, mostly due to her towering height. Even her agent told her, "Well, good luck with that," when she stated she would like to act. But she felt encouraged after watching Tilda Swinton's performance in Orlando.

In 2002, she used to work in a boutique. The same year, she attracted the attention of photographer Polly Borland. Between 2002 and 2008, she was featured in a series of photographs titled Bunny, which mostly featured her nude.

Gwendoline Christie began her professional career in 2006 in theatre plays. She landed a minor role in the film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and in the TV series Seven Ages of Britain Teaser (2010).
