Hemky Madera is an actor by profession and Dominican, American by nationality. He is best known for his roles in the Dominican series En La Olla, Trio en Alta Mar, in the series Brockmire, Queen of the South, and in films Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home as Mr. Delmar.

Hemky Madera’s birth took place on January 26, 1977, in Queens, New York, United States. He was born to Dominican parents, Luis Madera and Gisela Madera.

He was born prematurely when his mother came to visit relatives in New York. When he was just two months old, the family moved back to Santiago, Dominican Republic. Aside from this, nothing is known about his family, siblings, or childhood.

For education, Hemky Madera attended Santiago Christian School and graduated from the same. He then attended a college from which he graduated with a degree in marketing.

Before fame

After completing his studies, Madera had a series of different jobs, but had always wanted to become an actor.

So, he decided to give acting a try and has been acting since 2000. He moved to New York, where he worked on the production of The Bookie's Lament, but soon returned to the Dominican Republic. There, he starred in the mini-series Asalto en la Lincoln and in sitcoms Ciudad Nueva, Los Electrolocos, etc.

After success in Dominican films and TV, Hemky Madera returned to the United States in 2003. He soon began to portray minor roles in movies such as Dreaming of Julia (2003), The Lost City (2005), Rango (2011), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), Bad Hombres (2023), Muzzle (2023), and Play Dirty (2025).

In TV series, he has had appearances in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Shield, Brothers & Sisters, My Name Is Earl,  The Good Guys, Weeds, Brockmire, and Queen of the South.
