His parents divorced when he was three years old. His father left the family, and his mother was the one who raised him and his older brother.

When Juice WRLD was four years old, he started to play the piano. Growing up, he was allowed to listen to rock and pop music by his conservative mother, but not hip hop and rap. As he was interested in music from an early age, his mother, Carmella Wallace, sent him to guitar and drums. He also played the trumpet.

Rapper

Fascinated by the art of hip-hop and rap, he began to take rapping seriously in his sophomore year of high school. In 2015, he released the first track, "Forever," on SoundCloud under the stage name JuicetheKidd. Soon, he changed his stage name to Juice WRLD, inspired by rapper Tupac Shakur and his role in the film Juice.

In 2017, he released a single track with producer Nick Mira. On June 15, 2017, Juice WRLD’s EP 9 9 9 was released. It gained attention from fellow artists Waka Flocka Flame, Southside, G Herbo, and Lil Bibby.

In December 2017, his second EP, Nothings Different, was released. Its song Lucid Dreams and All Girls Are the Same were major hits, reaching the Billboard Hot 100. In May 2018, Lucid Dreams was re-released along with a music video. It reached number two on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Juice WRLD – Death

Just a week after his 21st birthday, Juice WRLD suffered from a seizure at Chicago's Midway Airport. TMZ reported that he was bleeding from the mouth when medics responded to the scene and was conscious while being rushed to a nearby hospital. He was declared dead there.

The rapper had rapped in his song "Legends" that he suffered "paranoia" and "wasn't making it past 21."

According to law enforcement, he swallowed several Percocet pills upon landing after he learned that federal agents were going to search the plane. The search on the private plane yielded 70 lbs. of marijuana, some codeine, and 3 handguns.
