Kaitlyn Dever is an actress by profession and American by nationality. She is well known for starring in An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong, Justified, Last Man Standing, Them That Follow, Booksmart, and Unbelievable.

Kaitlyn Dever’s birth took place on December 21, 1996, in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. She was born as Kaitlyn Rochelle Dever to father Tim Dever and mother Kathy Dever.

She is not the only child of her parents and has two siblings- older brother Corey Dever and younger sister Mady Dever.

At the age of 5, Kaitlyn Dever began to develop an interest in performing arts. Realizing her interests, her parents sent her to an acting school. She participated in numerous activities, including gymnastics, ballet, and skating, but focused on acting. 

After her family moved to Dallas, Texas, she studied at Dallas Young Actors. Dever was soon able to book a number of commercials, and the family moved to Los Angeles. 

Her ethnicity includes German, English, and Irish.

Dever’s first recognized roles were in the film An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong (2009) and in the TV series Make It or Break It (2009) and Modern Family (2009). And in 2011, she landed the recurring role of Loretta McCready in the TV series Justified and Last Man Standing, which she portrayed until 2021.

Over the years, Kaitlyn Dever has portrayed supporting roles in films Bad Teacher (2011), J. Edgar (2011), Laggies (2014), All Summers End (2017), Detroit (2017), The Front Runner (2018), and Beautiful Boy (2018). 

Finally, in 2019, she landed the lead role in the films Them That Follow as Dilly Picket and Booksmart as Amy Antsler.

Kaitlyn Dever has had guest appearances in Private Practice (2010), The Mentalist (2011), and Curb Your Enthusiasm (2011). She landed the main role in the 2019 miniseries Unbelievable as Marie Adler.
