Who is Lisa Vanderpump?

Lisa Vanderpump is a restaurateur, author, producer, actress, and television personality by profession, and British by nationality. Among all her work, she is best known for her appearances on  Bravo'sThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump Rules, and ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

Lisa Vanderpump – Birth, Parents, Siblings

Lisa Vanderpump’s birth took place on 15 September 1960 in Dulwich, London, England. She was born Lisa Jane Vanderpump to her mother Jean Vanderpump and her father, director John Vanderpump. She also has a sibling, an older brother named Mark Vanderpump. Mark died by suicide on April 30, 2018.

Information on her parents, childhood, and education is all scarce, and she has yet to share facts about her old life.

By the age of nine, Lisa Vanderpump was a full-time drama student. She later lived in Monte Carlo, France, before moving to California.

They have been married for more than 35 years, and in the season three finale of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, they renewed their vows.

Vanderpump and her husband have two children together. Their daughter Pandora Vanderpump-Todd was born on May 7, 1986, in London. The couple also adopted son Max Todd, who was born on December 7, 1991. Max was adopted when he was six months old.

The family moved to Europe from California in the mid-1990s, where they raised both their children. She is the mother-in-law of Jason Sabo.

Her marriage to Kenneth Todd makes her the stepmother of Warren Todd. The couple seems to be very happy together, and there has been no news of extramarital affairs or divorce.

Lisa Vanderpump – Career

As an actress

Lisa Vanderpump began her career very young. In 1973, she made her debut with the film A Touch of Class. She soon landed minor roles in Killer's Moon (1978), The Wildcats of St. Trinian's (1980), Leap in the Dark (1980), ABC Mantrap (1983), Silk Stalkings (1993), and Baywatch Nights (1995).

However, the aspiring actress was not able to land a major role in films and TV series. Aside from acting, she is a very successful businesswoman.

In business

While in London, Lisa Vanderpump designed 26 of the London-based bars and restaurants that she co-owned with her husband. In the United States, they have four restaurants in California, including Villa Blanca, Sur, PUMP Restaurant Lounge, and Tom Tom.

The reality show Vanderpump Rules is focused on her restaurant Sur and its workers. Moreover, she has appeared in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and competed in Dancing with the Stars with professional dancer Gleb Savchenko.

In addition, Lisa Vanderpump is also a writer, editor, and author. She is a monthly contributing writer and editor for Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine, editor-in-chief of Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine, and has authored 2011’s Simply Divine: A Guide to Easy, Elegant, and Affordable Entertaining. 

She, along with her husband Ken Todd, launched a homeware line named The Vanderpump Beverly Hills Collection by Pop Culture Promotions on 6 November 2014 and Vanderpump Pets in 2015. In  October 2016, she launched Vandermojis, her own line of emojis.
