Life before fame

Kenzari started acting as a teenager when his then-girlfriend signed them up to audition for a musical, which was the Dutch version of Chicago. After graduating from the prestigious Theatre Academy Maastricht, he worked with the Amsterdam Theatre Group. 

In 2008, he started his career in his home country. His beginning roles were in the series Flikken Maastricht (2008-2010), Maite was hier (2009), and in the films Katia's Sister (2008), among others.

Roles, Appearances

Other film credits are in Loft (2010), Rabat (2011), Wolf (2013), and Accused (2014). Seeking international fame and more work, Marwan Kenzari began appearing in Hollywood films in 2016. His first roles in English movies were in Ben-Hur (2016) and The Promise (2016).

His recent portrayals of characters are in The Mummy (2017),  Murder on the Orient Express (2017), What Happened to Monday (2017), The Angel (2018), Aladdin (2019), The Old Guard (2020), Ghosted (2023), The Return (2024), The Old Guard 2 (2025), among others.
