Roxanne McKee is an actress and model by profession, and British and Canadian by nationality. She is best known for her roles in Lip Service (2010), Game of Thrones (2011–2012), Dominion (2014–2015), and The Legend of Hercules (2014).

Roxanne McKee’s birth took place on 10 August 1980 in Canada. As for her Irish parents, siblings, and childhood, McKee has not revealed any facts. But she has mentioned that she has a sibling, and a brother.

She talked about her mother, father, and her upbringing in a 2015 interview with The Scotsman, “My parents barely watched any TV when I was growing up. But my mother was a very strong influence on me. She had her own business and worked incredibly hard. My dad worked away from home in computers, and she looked after us, and did a lot on her own.”

For education, Roxanne McKee attended Royal Holloway, the University of London, to study Social Policy & Political Studies. She graduated from there in 2005 with a BA degree in Social Policy & Political Studies.

Roxanne McKee had been dating Gary Sewell for a long time. She and boyfriend Sewell have not yet married, and there were reports that she and Sewell broke up in 2012.

McKee announced her engagement to her boyfriend in August 2025, showing off her diamond ring. In an Instagram story, she wrote, "I had a crush on him when I was 13. He finally proposed." In mid August 2025, she announced her pregnancy and welcomed her children in November 2025. She has yet to share the names of her twins and soon-to-be husband.

There has been no news of divorce surrounding the pair.

Roxanne McKee – Career

Early Career

Roxanne McKee’s parents wanted her to study English as she had a natural inclination toward it. But Roxanne McKee, on the other hand, wanted to see the world rather than join a nine-to-five job. So, she began modeling and auditioning for roles. 

In 2005, she landed the main role of Louise Summers in Hollyoaks. She played the same character for a total of 278 episodes until her contract expired in 2008. Already an established actress, McKee had the opportunity to portray roles in the TV series The Persuasionists (2010), Lip Service (2010), etc.

In 2011, she was cast as Doreah in the HBO hit series Game of Thrones, which gained her international fame. She portrayed the role in the first and second seasons.
