Sportscasting

Soon after graduating, Scott Van Pelt began his career at WTTG-TV, an affiliate of the broadcasting company FOX. He joined the company in 1990 and worked there for a couple of years.

In 1995, Scott Van Pelt sought a change in his work life. So, he joined the Golf Channel in 1995 as a studio host. After working there for around 5 years, he quit his job. In the year 2001, Pelt landed a job as a presenter for ESPN. On the channel, he presents SportsCenter.

While working at ESPN, he has covered some major tournaments, including the Masters Tournament and the Open Championship. Moreover, he co-hosted Tirico and Van Pelt alongside Mike Tirico before its cancellation.

In May 2015, it was announced that Pelt would be leaving his show. He was promoted to become the solo anchor for SportsCenter, a midnight show, which began in 2015.
