Shawn Hatosy’s birth took place on December 29, 1975, in Middletown, Maryland, USA. He was born Shawn Wayne Hatosy to his mother, Carol Ann Hatosy, a loan officer, and father Wayne Thomas Hatosy. He has not mentioned his siblings and might be the only child of his parents.

Shawn Hatosy began his career as an actor in 1995, having acted since the age of 10. His debut role was in the 1995 film Home for the Holidays, and an appearance in the TV series Homicide: Life on the Street. 

Since then, he appeared in 1997 films All Over Me, Niagara, Niagara, In & Out, and 1999’s Outside Providence, which gained him much recognition.
