Early Career

As a teenager, Yael Grobglas studied different styles of dance and performed in a professional dance group. She worked as a model for a brief period of time and eventually turned to acting as a career. 

Grobglas received her first breakthrough when she was cast in the Israeli sci-fi series Ha'Yi ("The Island") in 2007. She portrayed the role of Ginny in the series until season 3.

In 2010, Yael Grobglas was cast in the horror movie Rabies. This was followed by recurring roles in Ramzor (2011), Split (2011), Bnot HaZahav (2011), and Sabri Maranan (2013). Grobglas portrayed Linda in Woody Allen's 2012 stage play Play It Again, Sam.

International cast

Yael Grobglas gained the international spotlight in 2013 when she was cast as Olivia D'Amencourt in Reign. Just a year later, she bagged the role of Petra Solano/Natalia Dvôracek and her twin sister Anezka Archuletta in Jane the Virgin. She portrayed the characters from 2014 to 2019, in a total of 99 episodes.

Since then, Yael Grobglas has starred in the films JeruZalem (2015), An Interview with God (2018), and TV series Supergirl (2017-2018), Matlock (2024-2025), S.W.A.T. (2025), and as a guest diner in the reality series Hell's Kitchen (2019).
