Jackie Christie is a reality TV star, fashion designer, actress, author by profession, and American by nationality. The devoted philanthropist is best known for her appearance in VH1's hit reality series Basketball Wives LA and as the wife of former NBA player Doug Christie.

Jackie Christie’s birth took place on July 25, 1969, in Seattle, Washington, USA. In 2017, Christie shared pictures on Instagram of her first meeting with her biological father, who had recently gotten out of prison. Her mother passed away in 2012 due to cancer.

She also has a daughter, Ta’kari Lee, born in 1990 from her previous relationship. But the identity of the father of Ta’kari has been kept private. Christie is also a grandmother to Ta’kari’s son, Jaxson.

Jackie Christie first started out as a model. She rose to fame after marrying NBA star Doug Christie. Her marriage opened the path to star in the reality TV show Basketball Wives LA. Her outspoken nature did earn her considerable fame. 

With her husband, she started another reality show, The Christies: Committed, which would highlight their professional as well as personal lives. However, the series was canceled just after 6 episodes, even before the finale aired.

Christie was embroiled in controversy when she posted a topless picture on Instagram, which, according to her, was unintentional. Although she immediately deleted the picture, the picture had been downloaded. This also almost led to the end of her marriage.

While Christie's feud with co-star Malaysia Pargo continued, she accused Pargo's family of attacking her during an argument. In the series, she detailed the attack, "They're dragging me to the door to leave, [and] this girl comes up and hits me on the side of the head; this older lady. It was one of her aunts. She might have had a purse, I don't know. Aunt hit me! I'm thinking — all I did was go black."
