College games
While at Old Dominion University, Bazemore played for the Old Dominion Monarchs' basketball team. He played in the 2009 CollegeInsider.com Tournament and the 2011 NCAA Tournament. In his final season at ODU, he averaged 15.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.

Professional Career
Kent Bazemore was not selected in the 2012 NBA Draft. So he joined the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Orlando Summer League and the Golden State Warriors for the Las Vegas Summer League. In July 2013, he played for the Golden State Warriors in the 2013 NBA Summer League.
On February 19, 2014, Bazemore was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, but due to a torn tendon, he was ruled out of the season in April 2014. From 2014 to 2019, he played for the Atlanta Hawks. On June 24, 2019, Kent Bazemore was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.
